Michael R.
Meeks, M.D.

Dr.
Meeks is a native of Belton and is a founding member of Laurens
Family Practice. He is a graduate of the Greenville Hospital Residency
Program and a past member of the Laurens County Healthcare System
Board Of Trustees. He is married with three children. |

Mel
S. Patterson, M.D.

Dr.
Patterson is a native of Columbia and is also a founding member
of the practice. He is a graduate of the Greenville Hospital Residency
Program. Dr. Patterson serves on the Executive Committee with the
Blue Ridge Council of Boy Scouts of America. He is a past member
of the Laurens County Healthcare System Board. He is married with
two children. |

Byron Parker, M.D. |
Dr.
Parker is a native of Greenwood and joined the practice in 1980.
He has served as Chief of Staff of the Laurens Hospital and as
State Treasurer of the S.C. Academy of Family Physicians, serving
on its Board of Governors. He is married with three children.

F. Childers, M.D. |
Dr.
Childers is a native of Blacksburg and joined the practice in
1988. He is a graduate of Clemson University and the Greenville
Hospital Residency Program. Dr. Childers is active in the community
and is the past chair of the County Medical Society and past Chief
of Staff of the Laurens County Hospital. He has served on the
Laurens Family YMCA Board and is a board member of the Good Shepherd
Free Medical Clinic. He has two children.

E. Carles, M.D. |
Dr.
Carles is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School
of Medicine. He received his medical degree on 1998. His residency
in Family Medicine was completed in 2001 at Valley Baptist Medical
Center, Harlingen, Texas. He is married with two children.

Christopher
Todd Nelson, M.D. |
Dr.
Nelson is a graduate of Furman University. He received his medical
degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine
in 1998. His residency in Family Medicine was completed in 2001
at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He is married with two
children. His wife is a physician specializing in pediatrics.

Kristi
Beeler |
A
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, joined the practice in 1995.
She is a native of Tazewell, Tennessee. Her undergraduate degree was
earned from Carson-Newman College in 1992; in 1994, she received her
master's degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
She currently serves on the board of Good Shepherd Free Medical Clinic
of Laurens County. She is married with two children. |

Paul
Moore |
Dr.
Moore is a graduate of Furman University and the Medical University
of South Carolina. He trained in family medicine at Northern Colorado
Family
Medicine in Greeley, Colorado. He lives with his wife and five children
in Laurens, and can be found at many youth sports events and the Good
Shepherd Free Medical Clinic. |

Sarah D. Parnell |
Sarah D. (Ann) Parnell, APRN, BC
A native of Newberry County, she made her home in Greenwood for many years, most recently relocating
to the Greenville area. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Lander University, Master’s from Clemson University, and is ANCC Board Certified. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing. Very involved in community activities, she was a founding member and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Hope Free Clinic, (La Clinica Esperanza). In the international arena, she has served on several medical mission teams with Volunteers in Medical Missions, (VIMM). She is the proud mother of three children.
She enjoys reading and is currently exploring the art of watercolor.
